Terms & Conditions

1. About Us
Shanakee is the trading name of Shanakee Adventures Limited, a company registered in Ireland with its registered office at Ita House, Stonepark, Dromahair, Co. Leitrim, Ireland. Company Registration Number: [INSERT].

By booking a tour or experience with Shanakee, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Your statutory rights are not affected.

2. Booking & Payment

  • A booking is confirmed once payment has been received and confirmation has been issued by email.
  • A 50% deposit is required for bookings made more than 60 days in advance.
  • Full payment is required for bookings made within 60 days of departure.
  • Full payment must be received before your tour takes place.

3. Cancellations & Changes

  • All cancellations must be made in writing.
  • The following cancellation terms apply:
  • Deposit: non-refundable
  • More than 60 days: 50% refund
  • 31–60 days: 35% refund
  • Less than 30 days: no refund
  • One date change is permitted free of charge if requested at least 30 days in advance. Additional changes may incur a fee.
  • No refunds are available once a tour has started.

4. Insurance

Travel insurance is not included. We strongly recommend that all clients arrange comprehensive insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses, and personal belongings.

5. Health & Safety

  • Shanakee tours can be physically active. By booking, you confirm that you are fit to մասնակցate.
  • Any medical conditions or special requirements must be disclosed at the time of booking.
  • A signed waiver is required before participating in any tour.

6. Your Responsibilities

  • You must follow all instructions given by your guide for safety and enjoyment.
  • We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behaviour affects the safety or experience of others, without refund.
  • You are responsible for your own travel arrangements to and from the tour start point.

7. Changes by Us

  • We may need to adjust itineraries due to weather, safety, or operational reasons.
  • If we cancel a tour, you will be offered an alternative date or a refund of the amount paid.

8. Liability

  • Shanakee is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law.

9. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events outside our control, including extreme weather, natural events, or government restrictions. In such cases, we will offer an alternative date where possible.

10. Photography
We may take photos or videos during tours for promotional use. By participating, you consent to this.

11. Complaints
If you have an issue during your tour, please inform your guide at the time so we can try to resolve it. Any follow-up complaints should be submitted in writing within 28 days.

12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Irish law.

13. Updates
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
